National Home Alliance LLC ("NHA", "we", "us", "our") operates the National Home Alliance referral network platform, including our mobile application, website at NationalHomeAlliance.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
This Policy is governed by the laws of the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, additional rights apply (see Sections 11 and 12).
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email, phone number, business name, trade category, service area, profile photo
- Member content: referrals, reviews, ratings, messages, member spotlight responses, photos and videos uploaded to the Service
- Payment information: billing details processed through our payment provider (Stripe). NHA does not store full credit card numbers
- Communications: emails, SMS messages, and support tickets you send to us
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
- Usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, referrals sent, time spent in the app, crash reports
- Location data: approximate location based on IP address; precise location only with your explicit permission for service-area features
- Push notification tokens: to deliver referral and account notifications
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication providers (Apple, Google) if you sign in via those services
- CRM and communication platforms (GoHighLevel) used to manage workflows and messaging
- Public business records used to verify member businesses
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Process referrals between members and track referral history
- Generate analytics, A-Scores, and AI-powered Member Spotlights
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, support, and platform updates
- Send promotional messages about NHA features (you may opt out at any time)
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Members
Your business profile, including name, photo, trade category, contact information, A-Score, and member spotlight content, is visible to other members of your local alliance and, when you publish a spotlight to the network, to members of other alliances.
4.2 With Service Providers
- Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
- GoHighLevel (CRM, SMS, email automation)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Twilio (SMS delivery)
- OpenAI (AI-generated spotlight reports and analytics; only de-identified data is sent)
- Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Vercel (web hosting) and Expo (mobile app delivery)
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NHA, our members, or the public.
4.4 Business Transfers
If NHA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we may retain certain information for up to seven years to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and audit obligations.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our databases. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@NationalHomeAlliance.com and we will delete it.
8. Your Choices
- Account settings: review and update your profile, photos, and contact information at any time within the app
- Push notifications: disable in your device settings
- SMS and email: unsubscribe via the link in any marketing message or by replying STOP to SMS
- Location: revoke location permission in your device settings
- Account deletion: request via support@NationalHomeAlliance.com or in-app account settings
9. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have data protection laws that differ from your country.
10. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses essential cookies to operate, and analytics cookies to measure usage. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
11. California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) request deletion of personal information; (c) opt out of the sale of personal information (NHA does not sell personal information); (d) non-discrimination for exercising these rights. 12. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. NHA's lawful bases for processing are: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent (where required), and legal obligations. 13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy in the app and on our website with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
